Ben's boss Donna bought James a pirate puppet just for fun. He calls it Captain Jack Sparrow and has to sleep with it every night.

Before James can sleep he has to cuddle with Avery.

I decided to cut James' hair short, just to see. I about cried when she started but he loves it.

My parents bought James his first tricycle! Luckily it was still nice out so we've gotten to use it lots.

He still loves his blanket.

He loves dancing around while listening to Ben's Ipod.

Birthday party at Build-a-Bear
James' friend Noah was turning 3 and had his party at Build-a-Bear. We had never been there before and ti was quite an experience. James was a little overwhelmed by the whole thing but he had a lot of fun. I'm afraid now that every time we walk by it he's going to want to do it again.

Lakeview Farm
We went to this pumpkin patch in North Plains. We took a paddleboat ride that featured a shark, pirates and a sea monster out to the pumpkins. After playing in the field for a bit, we took a train back. That night when James was saying his prayers he said. "thank you for the shark and the sea monster." He still says that almost every night.

Halloween!
Since James has had his costume since August we figured we should get all the use out of it that we could. Friday night was our tri-ward trunk-or-treat. There were so many people it was crazy. Saturday we went to the zoo and participated in a scavenger hunt that ended with a goody bag filled with candy and prizes. We concluded with Halloween night, of course. We went around the neighborhood with Noah and his parents and finished at my parent's house for pizza and Young Frankenstein. All in all, a very successful Halloween. James loved his moustache and "chin" the most.
