All three kids LOVE this truck.
Avery and Boppie
Avery started off the month by learning how to walk!
This is a little gross but it was too hilarious not to document. I was upstairs folding clothes when I heard my cell, which happened to be downstairs, ringing. As soon as I got downstairs I could hear James talking in the bathroom. I walked in and saw this. His friend Conner had called and since James HAD to talk regardless of needing to use the bathroom he multi-tasked. The even funnier part is that I found out later that Conner was using the bathroom at the same time. I should have taped the conversation because that was a riot on it's own. Seriously, he cracks me up.
French Prairie Pumpkin Patch
I think this is one of my most favorite pumpkin patches! We had pretty much the whole family with us this year, my parents, Beth, Ben and Mack, Jon, Betsy and Sean. The kids all loved the slide. Ben let Avery go down on her own once and that didn't end too well but she liked going with us. They were cute running through the hay maze. The big slide was my favorite part. I took the kids down seperately and then once I had both of them which was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect! In fact - it got a little too warm - we had to take some layers off the kids! The pumpkin selection itself wasn't the greatest so we only got two. James loved helping Pappa with the apple slingshot and getting to help with the pig races.
So Bethany and Mackayla were over and we were all hanging out in the playroom. Out of the countless number of toys in the room what is the one thing they were all fighting over? A bowl. That's right I had to get two more bowls so they could each have their own to do whatever with. The girls would climb in and out, put them on their heads, etc. Why do I even bother buying toys anymore!
Our freaking awesome pumpkins! This was the first year I actually carved one and I was really proud of myself. I did the ship one and Ben did the skull. Of course Ben did a great job - it probably would have looked as good if he had carved it with his eyes closed :)
How excited am I that Avery likes to push a shopping cart! She WILL be my shopping buddy one day, regardless of Bethany's efforts to turn her into a tomboy!
No Halloween would be complete without a trip to Lakeview Farms to see the sea monster and shark. It was, yet again, a perfect day. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. The kids loved being pushed around in the wheelbarrow.
Happy Halloween!
Naturally the kids were pirates! I had planned on having Lorie make an Elizabeth Swan costume for Avery but then I saw this dress and knew she had to have it. James had such a blast this year. He would excitedly yell "happy halloween" to anyone on the street. I think that this holiday may be his favorite - just by a little bit :) Avery was the cutest trick-or-treating. She had her little bucket, walking all over the place. She would knock on the door, take a piece of candy and carefully put it in her bucket. They are both growing up too fast.
