The dinosaur exhibit at OMSI
My dad had scored a couple of passes to the preview of this exhibit and couldn't go with us so we got James' good buddy Noah and his mom to come with. James has never been super into dinosaurs but he was after this night. They had a bunch of animatronic ones and then a couple of places where you could dig for bones - which was his favorite part. We stayed so long we were practically the last ones there! Ben has taken him back since then and I think it will be a favorite this summer as well.
For Valentine's Day the boys decorated a bunch of paper hearts and took them to a retirement home nearby. We had taken them to this place at Halloween and they all loved it so we had to go again. It was so fun not only watching their faces but the faces of all the people there. You could tell it meant a lot to them and it made for some really special memories. It will be a nice tradition for us.
Captain Bogg and Salty!
They had a concert at the Children's Museum so, of course, we were there. If you don't live in Oregon and ever hear about this band coming to your town you should definately check them out. They put on an awesome show for adults and kids alike. In honor of their concert they had a bunch of pirate stuff going on that day - James got to tye-dye his own handkerchief!
Introducing Hunter Benjamin Hegerhorst!
He was born February 24th at 3:34 am and measured in at 8 lbs. 5 oz., 20.5 in.long. Mackayla was thrilled and has turned into quite a little mommy. He is as cute as can be, and darn Bethany's luck, it looks like he will have blue eyes as well. So far both of my nephews on this side have blue eyes, there is still hope for me!
