Happy 31st Birthday Ben!
We spent the evening at my parents, grilling hamburgers, playing in the yard and rocking out with Rock Band. I can't believe how old we are both getting! Good thing we don't look our age :)

We had a little graduation party for the end of preschool. James thought it was the coolest thing ever. The only sad part was saying goodbye to Carson. His family is moving to Cali for a year. I loved having this co-op, I'm going to miss it.

The kids were pretending to take a nap. Avery only gets her paci when she sleeps but I made an exception, just this once. As you can see, she got mad when I took it away.

Bethany was on an all-girl softball team so we went to a game. I had every intention of going to lots of them but sadly we only made it to one. James remembered the park from last year but it was all new for Avery. My poor dad didn't get to watch the game a whole lot because both girls were constantly screaming for his attention. Avery kept telling him to sit down on the bouncy thing and would get mad when he didn't. I love that my family lives so close and that these cousins truly love each other. I just need to convince Jon and David to hurry and move back!

Happy 2nd Birthday Mackayla!
We met at Red Robin for lunch and then went to Bethany and Ben's for dinner, ice cream cake and presents. Mackayla had gotten a playhouse for her birthday and the kids all loved it, except that Mackayla didn't want Avery to leave it, so that led to some fun times!

Happy 2nd Birthday Avery!
Since the girls are only 9 days apart we have a lot of cake in the month of June. We had the family over at our house for pizza and cake. Since Avery is into pink I thought I would make a strawberry checkerboard cake. The cake was more moist than I was expecting so it was a pain to frost and it

ended up leaning to one side. At least it tasted really good and Avery liked the pink. She got a play kitchen from my parents and spent the majority of the day with it. The girls would not let James play with it, poor kid. He's beginning to realize the difficulty in having a tempermental sister and he's in for another rude awakening when we add another sister to the mix. At least he has some really good male friends that he can escape to!

After Avery's party Ben decided to take James for some father/son time. I had bought him a new fly fishing pole for Father's Day and bought a little pole for James as well. They had a lot of fun and James caught a fish!

At the Tualatin fountains with Michelle and Shauna. The kids were more interested in the ducks in the lake than the fountains! Avery loves being with all these boys - they may all be fighting over her in the future but I really hope that they will be awesome bodygaurds to both my girls.

For my birthday my parents and Bethany got me SECOND ROW tickets to the Tim McGraw concert. Bethany and I have gone to every concert for the last five years. It was AWESOME! We got to touch his hand three times, he made eye contact and he signed Bethany's hat. We are addicted.
