April's Fools!
For dinner I made the kids chicken pot pie, at least that's what it looked like. It was actually vanilla pudding, dried apple slices, green sweet tarts and cut up yellow and orange starbursts. The kids were totally confused and a little perturbed but Ben and I thought it was hilarious!
Happy Easter
Saturday was spent dyeing eggs. I was so paranoid about the kids knocking the dye over, then Bethany and I both spilled cups all over the kitchen, splashing the kids in the process! Mackayla didn't like waiting for the dipper so she just stuck her hands in to get her egg out. The kids were covered with stains by the end of the morning!
Easter morning the kids got their baskets, we took some pictures then headed to church. Afterwards we went to my parent's for an egg hunt. The girls loved twirling around in their dresses :)
Now that Brie is super mobile I have to watch what's on the floor. Apparently I missed a piece of chocolate that she went crazy over. She was not happy when I took it away.
She loves standing - I swear she's going to start walking any day now!
Tv turn-off week
We decided to participate in the National Tv turn-off week and it was actually a lot of fun. Luckily Mother Nature was on our side and we were able to spend a lot of time outside. We went to a couple parks, planted some flowers, played in the sprinkler, went to the Tulip Farm and did a lot of art projects. I got a lot of organizing done so that was good! The kids didn't even ask to watch tv we were so busy!
